The Trophy Haul

In 1956 Daniel Francois Malan, grandfather to current winemaker Danie Malan, was the first of the three Malan generations to initiate the esteemed trophy haul. He did this by winning the General Smuts Trophy in the SA Championship Young Wine Show for Allesverloren Port for two consecutive years, 1956 and 1957.

Vinexpo Award

In 1989 Allesverloren Shiraz was the only South African wine to win one of just 20 trophies awarded to winemakers from 21 countries at the Vinexpo in Bordeaux, France - the world's biggest wine show.

In 1998 the 1996 Allesverloren Shiraz earned Danie Malan the Diners Club Winemaker of the Year.

In 2000 the 1993 Allesverloren Port earned Danie Malan the Peter Schultz Award for excellence in Port production.

In 2003 the 2001 Allesverloren Tinta Barocca took home a double gold at Veritas 2003.
