Allesverloren Shiraz

A large part of the estate has been devoted to Shiraz because this varietal performs so well in the Swartland.

Allesverloren Shiraz is a bountiful, full-bodied wine made in the traditional style with a smoky, scented bouquet and excellent fruit concentration. This is a complex wine with a good ageing potential and serves as the ideal accompaniment to all red meat dishes, particularly roast lamb and venison.

Fact Sheets

Allesverloren Port

Allesverloren Port is produced from predominantly Tinta Barocca, Souzao, Pontac and a blend of Malvasia Rey, Tinta Röritz, Tinta Francisca and Touriga Naçional, varieties planted at an altitude of 140 metres above sea level. The trellised vineyards face in a north-south direction and are about 43 years old. The wine is woody and toasty on the nose with nutty and raisin berry undertones. On the palate it is a creamy, soft and multi-dimensional port with full ripe fruits and a lingering aftertaste.

Allesverloren Touriga Naçional

Allesverloren Touriga Naçional is a varietal used almost exclusively for the making of port, but Danie has been making a small amount of Touriga Naçional wine for a few years now. Aged in second and third fill barrels for eight months, this wine has an intense ruby colour with rich aromas of raisin and blackcurrant on the nose, and hints of vanilla and oak spice on the medium to full-bodied palate. Enjoy on it's own or with roasted meat dishes such as duck, lamb and beef.

Fact Sheets

Allesverloren Tinta Barocca

Famous initially for it's ports, it's not surprising then that Allesverloren makes a wine from Tinta Barocca, a Portuguese port varietal. 18 Months maturation in oak barrels adds a warmth and body to the wine's inherent fruity character. The Allesverloren Tinta Barocca is a bright ruby colour with a bouquet of delicious fruit and typical port aromas. It is a full-bodied but refined wine that will suit robust red meat dishes.

Fact Sheets

Allesverloren Cabernet Sauvignon

Allesverloren Cabernet Sauvignon is an intensely flavoured wine brimming with traditional Cabernet aromas. Matured in oak for 18 months, this robust, opulent wine has the structure for further ageing but can be enjoyed now with roast beef, grilled steak or strong cheeses.
